Attorney Profile
Since 1982, my primary effort is to provide professional representation in a trial oriented general practice of law. I have personally handled all aspects of the preparation, investigation, settlement and trial of more than 5,000 matters in numerous areas of the law including administrative law, copyright infringement, commercial disputes, real property actions, social security disability matters, criminal defense, construction and contract disputes, professional disciplinary matters, real estate disputes involving partition, specific performance, common law marriage, boundary disputes and title disputes and contested estate proceedings. I have conducted many thousands of depositions, examinations before trial, hearings and trials.

Prior to entering private practice, I was associated with the Criminal Defense Division of the Legal Aid Society. There, I had the opportunity to represent many thousands of defendants in criminal matters and to try many hundreds of cases.

In addition to acting as an attorney and counselor of law, I am proud to be presently involved in numerous pro bono activities including serving the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York as a Certified Mediator and as an Early Neutral Evaluator. I also serve in the Queens County Supreme Court as a receiver and as a referee. For the past eighteen years, I sit regularly as a Small Claims Court Arbitrator in the Queens Civil Court.

From 1984 to 1988, I served as Counsel and Legislative Aide to former Deputy Speaker of the Assembly Saul Weprin and Deputy Majority Leader Alan Hevesi (now New York State Comptroller). There, I had the privilege to serve two of the finest assemblymen New York has ever had. My work included analyzing pending legislative matters, providing constituent counseling and making surrogate appearances for Assemblymen Weprin and Hevesi.

I am admitted to the state courts of New York and New Jersey, the United States Supreme Court, the United States District Courts for the Eastern District of New York, Southern District of New York and New Jersey. I have also been admitted pro hoc vice in several other states. I am also an active member of numerous bar and professional organizations.
